Apartments Luci Hvar

On Hvar, the island of sun, you can find one unique place Ivan Dolac. In the bay full of beautiful pebble beaches washed by the crystal clear Adriatic Sea, the vacation house Luci is situated. Come and join us in this special place and experience the scent of lavender and rosemary coming from the surrounding fields. Let the song of birds wake you up, pass your day with the music of crickets, and don´t miss the wonderful sunset.

The house consists of 4 apartments, and each one includes: Separate entrance, well equipped kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, WC + bathroom, spacious terrace, TV + satellite, parking place, barbecue, outside shower. All the apartments are for 4 people, except the apartment A4 which can accommodate 3 people.

You might ask what it is that makes the island of Hvar so unique. Well, it is the crystal clear sea together with beautiful bays and beaches, mild climate, abundant vegetation, vineyards, olive groves and cultural and historical sites. Hvar has been listed as one of 10 most beautiful islands in the world by the Traveller magazine and it is the sunniest island in Europe with 2715 sunny hours per year.

You can arrive on Hvar by ferry from Split to Stari Grad (105 minutes), or by faster ferry connection which goes from Sućuraj to Drvenik (25 minutes). If you are not coming with a car you can take a speed boat from Split to Hvar or to Jelsa. You can find the ferry timetable on Jadrolinija official website.

Ivan Dolac is a small village situated on the south of the island. It is located 10 kilometers from Jelsa, 20 kilometers from Stari Grad and 38 kilometers from the city of Hvar. It is connected to the rest of the island by a tunnel which is 1.5 kilometers long. The view from Ivan Dolac reveals the small island of Šćedro and the island of Korčula, together with numerous small pebble and sand beaches (Šuplja stina i Lučišće in proximity of Sv.Nedjelja, Jagodna, Paklina, Petarčica). Due to the climate and steep wine-rich slopes of the southern side of the island, the best quality wines are produced from the grapes grown in this area. There is a small grocery store and a few restaurants in the village, and everything else that you might need can be found in nearby city: Jelsa.

The house is situated in a peaceful part of the village. It is surrounded by gardens and pine wood. The distance from the sea is 80 meters and from the store and nearest restaurant is 150 meters.

Of the homemade products we offer: Red and white wines, wine sherry (prosecco), grape schnapps, grape schnapps with herbs and olive oil. All of the products are made according to the traditional recipe which hasn’t changed for generations. Wine Plavac is indigenous product of the central part of Hvar´s vineyards. On this area it reaches extraordinary quality especially if the vine is older than 30 years. Wine schnapps is the spirit beverage with medicinal properties. It is a product of distillation of the grape pomace. Aroma and color is achieved by soaking 10 to 15 kinds of fruits and aromatic herbs. Wine sherry (prosecco) is a sweet desert wine which is made from grapes with high sugar content. Olive oil is obtained by cold processing of the olives, immediately after the olives are harvested. The olive oil we produce is made from 95% Oblica sort, which is considered to be the Dalmatian olive queen.
