Vodice is an idyllic town with approximately 8500 inhabitants. It is because of her Adriatic-coast, approximately 10 km northwest from Šibenik and 68 km northwest from the airport Split. Vodice combines rural Ambiance, outlook on the Šibenik islearchipelago and a long groomed beach, with the preferences of a city with restaurants and cafes, night-conversation, stores, hairdressers, drugstores, a medical practice, a dentist, a post office, a bus - station, that connects guests with the excellent network of the bus - routs, banks, quite a lot jeweller-shops, tourist bureau, as well as tennis - and volleyball-places etc. Moreover, the circle-capitoal Šibenik is only 11 km remote. Consequently, Vodice is in vacation-goal especially attractive for the vacation guest. For the relaxation - tourists, we have 2 seasons in this area. The bath-season, from middle of June until middle of October, and the active-season.

The weather of the more final has big similarity with the English spring and is suitable excellently for sailing, painting, tennis / and volleyball-games, as well as for excursions. It offers itself a big number of destinations here and there are not only exceptionally beautiful sceneries, but also art / and culture-treasures, like for example the Diokletianpalace in Split, the downtown of Trogir, (which is on ´ Unesco List of Sites of the World Cultural Heritage´), the renaissance cathedral of St. James in Šibenik, or the gold - and silver-collection in Zadar.

Vodice represents also an excellent starting point for the Ecotourists, who wants to see the landscape, the geological formation, the flora and the fauna, which shows a considerablenumber of endemic types of the most interesting national-parks of Croatia. Kornati, Krka, Paklenica & Plitvice is not removed far from Vodice. The remaining 3 parks are only in the way of a longer trip, Brijuni & Risnjak northward and Mljet soutward, attainable.

The town of Vodice is located 13 km from Sibenik in a shallow bay, between the cape and the bay Borovnik Vrulja. Vodice was first mentioned in writing in 1402 in a document. The former fishing village has become a popular holiday resort. At the port of Vodice you will find many Souvenierstände and a market and foreign exchange bureaux. Here and in the center numerous restaurants and bars are waiting for their guests. Highly recommended is a visit to the Santa Maria and Guste. Both are restaurants with a distinctive flair. Of the particular cultural and historical monuments of Vodice is a small Gothic church "Sveti Kriz" highlight of the year 1421 and the tower from the 16th-Coricev Century, the parish church "Sveti Kriz" from the second half of the 18th Century and the coming of Our Lady of Karmela Heiligenort on Mount Okit - 2 km from the city. Anyone who wants to enjoy a fantastic view of Vodice and its fantastic environment should take definitely take a trip up the mountain Okit.

Several times a day runs a ferry service between Sibenik and Vodice. It attaches great importance to the islands and Privic Zlarin. Such a trip is highly recommended, especially since the fares vary extremely low. For boaters, the marina has become a term of Vodice. There are 450 berths in the sea and for those who want to put their boat in the winter safely, 150 places in the country. Guests have at their disposal: sänitäre facilities, restaurant, tavern, club, shops, petrol station and cranes (10 and 40 tons). Also yacht charter with or without a skipper is possible.

In summer, the port of Vodice trips to Kornati and tours are booked on a glass bottom boat. In particular, the rides at night to allow non-divers a fantastic insight into the mysterious underwater world from Vodice and Tribunj. A large and modern marina, with shops, boutiques, souvenir shops, green market (daily), with sports fields, beaches, and streets .... A lively and exciting place during the day but also quiet, charming and beautiful after the sunset, and the charms of nocturnal sleep, this is Vodice.
