Apartments Zvjezdana Ilovik

A magic island usually known as the island of flowers with beautiful sunsets and clear-blue sea, many sand beaches aparted from the center of the island.

Zvjezdana Apartments are 200 meters from the sea and the town center with shops, bars, restaurants and other facilities. We have 2 apartments for 4 people with two bedrooms. The apartments have three stars, are modern, comfortable furnished, air conditioning, internet access, balcony or terrace. There is also a cot. In the kitchen, in addition to all other equipment including microwave oven. For joint association is available pretty terrace, surrounded by greenery and outdoor grill. If you want to spend a quiet and relaxing holiday traditions and learn about the island Ilovik, you are welcome to do so in our apartments.

Ilovik is a charming, also known as the island of flowers with beautiful sunsets, crystal blue sea and many sunny beaches near the city center. The whole island is covered with lush Mediterranean vegetation, here you will come across a variety of flowers, colorful oleanders, palms and two eucalyptus hundred years old, resulting in an island called Island of Flowers.

The coast of the island is beautiful everywhere, easily accessible and has a lot of beautiful secluded coves and beaches. The largest bay is Paržine, with a beautiful sandy beach on the southeast side of the island.

Island  Ilovik today has about 100 inhabitants who are mainly engaged in fishing, breeding sheep, agriculture and tourism. It is interesting that today live three times as many local people in America than on the island.

The island has a shop, post office, bakery, pastry shop, currency exchange, souvenir shop and several high-quality restaurants, where you will prepare a healthy littoral food.

Island Ilovik, which is the only settlement also called Ilovik is a big 5.8 km2, the coast is 15.4 km long, with regular daily connected to Lošinj, with fast shipping service to Reka. In the summer there is also a lot of pleasure lines.

ILOVIK, an island south of Losinj, area 5.88 sq km. On the north-eastern side it is protected by a rather long but small island of Sveti Petar (St. Peter). Ilovik is hilly; on its western side Krisine Peak rises (77 m), in the central part is Did (92 m) and on the eastern side Vela Straza (91 m).

In front of the southern coast are shallow spots, the one in front of Ugradica Cape being 1-5 m deep.

The only habitation - Ilovik - is situated on the north-eastern part of the coast; population 100. In certain periods, the island was called Sveti Petar or Sveti Petar Ilovik. Chief occupations include farming, fishing, livestock breeding and tourism.

The archaeological site Sicadrija contains ruins of the early mediaeval church of St. Andrew. On the neighbouring island of Sveti Petar, opposite of the village, is a 1-km long Roman archaeological zone (foundations of various structures, remains of mosaics, graves). In the 11th century, a Benedictine monastery was built on the island, which bore the name Sancti Petri de Nemois or de Neumis (collapsed). In 1597, Venice built a quadrangular tower on Sveti Petar for the defence against the "Uskoks" (now in ruins).

The Ilovik harbor is 1.5 km long and up to 300 meters wide. In this area the anchoring and docking facilities have been established by the company, "PORAT ILOVIK", under a contract with the government. There are 80 buoys available for mooring, these are located throughout the entire length of the canal. On the docks, there are approximately 30 permanent anchors available for public use. At most locations, you will have an opportunity for 220 V electrical hook-up. Small quantities of water can be obtained from the town cistern in front of the church. Rubish removal is scheduled for all vessels. The harbor of Ilovik is likely one of the more beautiful and secure harbors on the Adriatic.
