Apartments Koren Vipava

Currently, we have for our guests a choice of five fully equipped apartments, which are named after the main springs of the Vipava River. These are:

APARTMENT "PODFAROVŽ" :This apartment has one bedroom (two beds), bathroom, entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen with dining room and living room, where there are two beds (one extra). Part of this apartment has a balcony with two chairs and table. From there is a beautiful view on the rear yard and garden, the old castle and the Vipava student homes, Vipava gymnasium. For your well-being is also available TV and hairdryer, as in all other apartments.

APARTMENT "ZA TABROM" A special feature of this apartment are round staircase leading from the living room to three beds. One bed is in a small room, the other two beds in another room. The living room has one normal and one extra bed. Together there are five beds in this apartment. Here is also a kitchen, bathroom, TV, radio, dining table ... Two meters from the entrance door is a balcony overlooking the courtyard, which can be used by guests.

APARTMENT "PODSKALCA": Two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room and balcony are the main elements of this apartment. In the living room is fold-out sofa, which can provide two additional beds for two children. It should be noted that this apartment has the largest balcony of all the apartments and here you can hear the roar of the river Vipava, what makes on summer evenings this place pleasantly cool.

APARTMENT "POD LIPCO": Similar to the above apatments also apartment Pod lipco has a two bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living room and one additional room equipped with desk and office chair. The living room has one normal and one additional bed, what means that in this apartment four guests can stay overnight.

ROOMS: Besides the apartments, we can also offer our guests three rooms.

As Slovenia is situated on the sunny side of the Alps, is also Vipava located on the sunny side of the Vipava Valley, which is certainly one of the reasons why Illyrian and Celtic make settlements in that area in before Roman times. From them is also the origin of the name Vipava, because "VIP" in the Celtic language means "river". The only river with delta in Europe is just the Vipava River, thats why many call Vipava the Slovenian Venice (in Vipava is 25 bridges).

Vipava opens the door to the strong wind called burja. And indeed it is so, because here is saying "that the wind has children". And this wind, according to folk tradition, has helped the tailor by the intervention of world history in the struggle between the armies of the Roman emperor Theodosius in Eugene and the rebels in battle in 394 Frigid (Cold River). This battle is the direct cause of the collapse of the Roman Empire into two parts. However, Vipava wind couldn't for centuries harm the vines, which beneficial effects of the Mediterranean climate,fertile soil, flysch knowledge, love of domestic wine allows it to growe to excellent grapes from which are made each year premium wines. It is worth to make it sure. However, that agricultural and wine industries is important at Vipava, is the proof in 1894 established Vipava wine cellar.
