Our home, with three apartments, is located in a very quiet part of Bovec, some two hundred meters from the Kanin Ski Resort cable car station.

 We are happy that you have decided to visit Bovec, located in the northwestern part of Slovenia, where Slovenia borders Italy. Bovec is located in the valley where the wonderful river Soča flows.

Bovec is surrounded with mountains Rombon, Javoršček, Svinjak, Polovnik and Kanin.  Visitors to Bovec can explore a number of the mountains, enjoy climbing, mountain paths and mountain cycling. Escorted by experienced guides they can enjoy paragliding and admire Bovec and the Soča river valley from the air. Bovec also offers many private museums and historical markers that describe the history of the First World War and how it affected the area.For those so inclined, Bovec abounds with Sport Agencies offering activities such as kayaking, rafting, hydrospeed and canyoning.

The Kanin Ski Resort offers natural snow, beautiful views and a sunny location. It is connected with the Italian ski resort at Sella Nevea.  This assures skiers that even if fresh natural snow is not available, they are nevertheless able to ski, since Sella Nevea is capable of producing artificial snow.

Kanin Ski resort in on 2000 m altitude, so the ski season lasts from December to at least May. Because of the altitude the snow does not freezes, but offers enjoyly skiing on the dry snow almost all winter. Special feature Kanin its sunny location and unique views so far in the heart of the Alps and at the same time to the Adriatic Sea. On days with good visibility you can count large ships in the Bay of Trieste. Alternative touring is in the valley Krnice More than nine kilometers sleigh lines. Capacities: 5600 skiers per hour. The possibility of skiing in three countries: the slopes Tarvisio and Sella Nevea, Italy and Arnoldstein in Austria. Soča: The karst springs in the middle of the Julian Alps and through the rapids in Trenta watehfalls to troughs and pools in the Bovec basin emerald reflections upsets imagination, excites the senses and stroking views. For many the most beautiful European river under the auspices of the 2000 m high mountains delineates the closest bedrock gorges, impressive in its extensive gravel river bed, it brings the sea most powerfull torrential waters. Now passionate sparkling, now virgin still surprised by life in itself, now trapped in a narrow gorge, and after that spilled in charm and magic.
